Terms of Use ​

These terms were last changed on 22 September 2026.

These terms explain what you may do with the AI in the Heartlands course materials. Please read them before you use the materials. By using this site or the materials, you agree to these terms.

In short ​

  • The materials are free for you to read and learn from on your own.
  • Anything you build while following the courses belongs to you.
  • You may not teach the materials, copy them, or use them in other course materials without written approval from Aijutsu.
  • To license the materials, or to have Aijutsu run a course for your group, email hello@aijutsu.dev.

Who we are ​

The materials are made by Aijutsu Pte. Ltd., a company registered in Singapore. Its company registration number (UEN) is 202610279E.

In these terms, "Aijutsu", "we", and "us" mean Aijutsu Pte. Ltd. "You" means the person using the materials.

What these terms cover ​

"The materials" means everything that makes up the AI in the Heartlands courses:

Software made by other people is not part of the materials. See Software and services from others.

The materials are copyright © 2026 Aijutsu Pte. Ltd. (202610279E). All rights are reserved, except for what these terms allow you to do.

Free for learning ​

The materials are free and open for anyone who wants to learn. "Open" means that you can read all of them, including their files on GitHub, without paying and without an account. It does not mean that you can reuse them however you like.

You may:

  • read the materials and follow the courses on your own;
  • work through a course with friends, family, or colleagues, as long as you are all learning and no one is teaching it as a class;
  • keep a copy, or print pages, for your own study;
  • use an AI tool to help you learn, for example by asking it to explain a step;
  • share links to any page;
  • quote a short part in a review or a post, with a link back to the page it came from.

Anything you build by following the courses, such as your own AI agent, is yours. You may use it however you like, including for work.

What needs written approval ​

You need written approval from Aijutsu before you:

  • teach or present the materials, for example in a class, workshop, bootcamp, webinar, or training session. This applies whether it is paid or free, and whether it is public or inside a company, school, or community group;
  • copy, publish, or share the materials anywhere else, in full or in large parts. For example, on another website, on a learning platform, in a book, or in a video;
  • use the materials as part of other course materials, such as slides, handouts, or lessons. This includes changed or translated versions of the materials;
  • sell the materials, or put them behind a paywall;
  • use an AI tool to turn the materials into other course materials;
  • use the materials to train an AI model.

You must never:

  • remove or hide the copyright notice;
  • say that the materials are your own work;
  • use the Aijutsu name or logo in a way that suggests we support you or work with you, when we don't.

Licensing the materials, or working with us ​

We are happy to talk. Email us at hello@aijutsu.dev if you would like to:

  • license the materials for your own use, for example to teach them at your company, school, or community group;
  • have Aijutsu run any of these courses for your group.

Approval only counts when Aijutsu gives it in writing, for example in an email or a signed agreement. It covers only what it says.

The course's files on GitHub ​

The course's files are public on GitHub, so that anyone can read them and suggest improvements. GitHub's own terms let GitHub users view the files, and make a fork (their own copy) on GitHub. That does not give anyone other rights. These terms apply to every copy of the materials.

Suggesting a change ​

Each page has a link to suggest a change on GitHub. If you send us a change, such as a fix, a new paragraph, or a picture:

  • you confirm that it is your own work, or that you have the right to share it;
  • you agree that Aijutsu may use it, change it, publish it, and license it to others as part of the materials, for free and with no time limit;
  • you keep your own rights to your work.

We don't have to accept a suggestion, and we don't pay for suggestions.

Software and services from others ​

The courses use software and services made by other people, such as NanoClaw, Codex, Docker, and Telegram.

  • Each one has its own licence or terms, and these terms don't change them. For example, the copy of NanoClaw that the course uses is covered by NanoClaw's own licence.
  • You must follow the terms of each service you sign up for.
  • Some services cost money. Prices and plans change, so check them before you pay. Any costs are between you and that service.
  • Product names and logos belong to their owners. When we name a product, it doesn't mean its owner supports this course.
  • We link to other websites to help you. We don't control them, and we aren't responsible for them.

Use the materials at your own risk ​

We work hard to keep the materials correct and up to date. But software and services change often, and mistakes happen. So we provide the materials "as is". We don't promise that they are free of mistakes, that they are up to date, or that they suit your needs.

When you follow the courses:

  • you install software and change settings on your computer, so back up anything important before you start;
  • you are responsible for your computer, your accounts, your passwords, and your data;
  • you are responsible for what the AI agents and apps you build do, and for making sure they follow the law and the rules of the services they use.

The materials teach skills. They are not legal, financial, or security advice for your situation.

Limits on our responsibility ​

As far as the law allows, Aijutsu is not responsible for any loss or damage that comes from using the materials, or from not being able to use them. This includes lost data, damage to your computer, lost income, and money you pay to other services.

Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law does not allow us to limit.

Your privacy ​

This site has no accounts, and it never asks for your personal details.

  • The site remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. It keeps that choice in your own browser.
  • Search runs in your browser. What you type in the search box is not sent to us.
  • Our hosting company, Cloudflare, handles basic technical details to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. For example, it sees your IP address, which is the address of your internet connection.
  • We count visits with Plausible, a privacy-friendly tool that we run ourselves. It shows us which pages people read, which sites sent them here, and their country and type of device. It uses no cookies (small files that sites save in your browser), it doesn't follow you to other sites, and it doesn't build a profile of you. To count each visitor once, it uses a code made from your IP address and browser that changes every day. Your IP address itself is not stored.
  • If you email us, we use what you send only to reply to you and to deal with your request.

Changes to these terms ​

We may change these terms from time to time, for example when the courses or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If you keep using the materials after a change, you agree to the new terms.

  • The laws of Singapore apply to these terms. The courts of Singapore decide any dispute about them.
  • If a court decides that part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we don't enforce part of these terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • These terms are the whole agreement between you and Aijutsu about the free materials. A paid workshop or a licence from Aijutsu may come with its own terms, which also apply.
