About Aijutsu
Aijutsu is a founder-led, coaching-informed, AI-leveraged technology practice based in Singapore. We provide senior technical advisory, transformation journey facilitation, and bespoke development across AI, cloud, and compliance, for teams that need outcomes. Aijutsu is the creator of AI in the Heartlands.
What does Aijutsu do?
Aijutsu delivers three services across three domains.
Three services
- Senior technical advisory. Senior technical opinion on a needs basis, or on retainer, for organisations that need the judgement but don't need a full-time hire.
- Transformation journey facilitation. We facilitate organisation-wide technology change, with demonstrated industry experience and a coaching-informed methodology, so the change lasts well after the engagement ends.
- Bespoke app and web app development. AI-leveraged delivery of websites, web applications, internal tools, and platforms, designed to be usable and maintainable.
Three domains
- AI. Meaningful integration of AI into existing processes and operations, so it changes how the work gets done rather than sitting beside it.
- Cloud. Migration to or away from cloud service providers, and making sure systems operate in a cloud-native way.
- Compliance. ISO 27001 and SOC 2, including automated evidence collection systems such as Drata and Vanta.

Why does Aijutsu run AI in the Heartlands?
Aijutsu runs AI in the Heartlands as an initiative to answer the curious question of: "What would my neighbour build if they had some practical and applicable knowledge of how to build with AI?"
TL;DR we created this hands-on course to help people use AI to build things for themselves and their communities.
We have three objectives in mind:
- See what people build. Most AI teaching stops at using a chatbot. We would rather put real building ability in people's hands and find out what they make with it.
- Empower more builders. We think communities could be better places if more of the people in them were empowered to build. Someone who can build a tool for their family, their shop, or their neighbourhood group doesn't have to wait for anyone else to build it for them.
- Teach proper end-to-end building. Majority of AI workshops and courses stop at building because it's rare to have certified instructors also have actual prior industry experience. We have experience in deployments, and we want to teach others how to do this properly based on actual industry best-practices rather than textbook theories.
These are also the same principles we bring to client work: consultants backed by years of industry experience leveraging AI to empower small teams to achieve outsized outcomes.
The course puts that capability in the hands of individuals and community groups, and it is taught hands-on, so learners keep the skills after the course ends. We structure it so that this course would offer:
- Free self-learning. Anyone may read the course materials and learn from them for free, under the Terms of Use.
- Instructor-led classes for individuals and companies. Aijutsu runs paid workshops based on these learning materials, where learners can join a community and also work alongside others and get help applying the concepts.
- Licensing opportunities. Teaching from these materials or reusing them in other course materials is possible through an arrangement with Aijutsu. To license these materials for your own use, drop an email to hello@aijutsu.dev.
Who is on the Aijutsu team?
Joseph Matthias Goh, founder
Founded Aijutsu in 2026 as a way of bringing back a consultancy culture where consultants care about doing the right thing rather than getting paid for as long as possible. He is a technologist, a builder, and a coach, with over a decade of hands-on experience within highly regulated environments doing engineering, cloud, and compliance:
- Head of Platform Engineering at watchTowr. Led global infrastructure scaling, and led the company through its ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II compliance audits.
- Platform Architect at StashAway. Coordinated engineering initiatives across teams.
- DevOps Engineer at GovTech. Launched several products, and consulted for internal teams on implementing cloud-native technologies.
Joseph is also a formally trained coach under the Newfield Ontological Coaching Certification programme; which is where Aijutsu's coaching-informed methodologies come from: your team levels up while the work is being delivered, not in a handover meeting at the end.
